Sergio,

Very familiar with IDTI. Hope to make a lot of money when this cyclical group swings up. They had an incredible pattern from 10-15 over the last several years. At these prices it is hard to imagine a safer buy but I also owned ALSC last fall and thought the same thing every time I bought it all the way down to 4. I still have the burn marks.

I'm tempted but it looks like when they turn there should be a clear signal. Good cash position. Would expect a stock buy back to give them support. Their parts are not as exposed as some of the semis. Depends on how well their processor holds up in the market. They are also up against INTC which is in the mood to take no prisoners if you know what I mean. I need to do some more analysis but did not think the time was right yet.

Joe

Compaq unveils retail build-to-order program

HOUSTON, June 9 (Reuters) - Compaq Computer Corp. on Tuesday unveiled a new
line-up of PCs that can be built-to-order at retail outlets and are designed to
provide easy Internet access.

The Houston-based company said that under its new ''Built for You'' program,
consumers can buy custom-configured Presario PCs with the exact specifications
they desire, at their preferred retail location.

Compaq's ''Built for You'' program is currently running in about 100 locations
at retailers such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples and Nebraska Mega Mart.

By the end of 1998, it will be operational at nearly 4,000 retail locations,
including branches of CompUSA, Computer City, RadioShack and regional
retailers.

Compaq said that new buyers of its Presario home computer line would receive a
$100 mail-in rebate by signing up for a 50-hour free trial of its new Internet
service, Easy Internet Access Service powered by GTE.

GTE Corp. (GTE - news) will supply the Internet connection to Compaq's
customers. Once the free trial expires, consumers can pay only $19.95 per
month, or $16.95 with purchase of GTE long-distance phone service.

Compaq also announced an agreement with America Online Inc. (AOL - news) to
feature AOL on all Presario desktop PCs.

Additionally, the PC marker announced that high density 100 MB Zip disk drives, made by Iomega Corp. (IOM - news), will be built into most of the Presario PCs introduced Tuesday.

The chart shows rising Stochastics and an MACD Histogram about to turn positive... Downside risk seems minimal... Upside potential seems very big... Also, a partnership with Compaq says alot about IOM's future prospects...
