From the Welcome to Silicon Investor thread. Monday, Jun 8 1998 5:38AM The reply to my question on how to "remember" last post read. --- I would assume you have "bookmarked" the thread. If not, then go to the bottom of any post on that thread and click on "Bookmark this Subject," Henceforth, click on "Subjects" at the top of the SI screen to see your bookmarked subjects, and then click on the quantity of new posts (don't click on the name of the thread unless you want to go to the thread intro). That will take you to the first new post after the one you read last. This works either during an SI session or if you sign off and then return. BRAD, DAVID: How does one find FAQs? Do FAQs have all these handy little pointers? Is there another thread that does, or is it just more fun to find out by clicking around. I remember my question, "Why don't we have a 'From' folder?" --- Thank you for the 'how to do it' post. I'am going to post this 'help' on my main thread so others can also be helped, and thus be more productive. Sure would be easier for members, and take up less time of the ones running this SI, if it was easy for members to go to the SI home page, and see at the very top next to Member Login, a Member Help that has the FAQ and Welcome to SI click-on's. The FAQ is really a simple 'this is SI', and this thread is the real FAQ place. But for this thread to really work as a FAQ place, an SI person would have to "capture" the questions+answer and put them into another place that is a click-on. And also the peson would have to monitor this new place to keep it up to date and delete old answers if not used anymore. I would think that only a SI person would have write/delete access to this place. Doug
