Eddie:

It looks very quiet there - hopefully the positive omen before the storm of activity that will happen this week. Hey I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate you for continuing in Steve's footsteps - after observing things here and on the Dell thread since he stopped posting you've done a fine job of defending the turf (WHEN IT HAS BEEN NECESSARY with Kelly & others) Rudedog, Stephen, Robbie and others too - I think the patience with this stock will be rewarded handsomely.

On a related note - do you think that Intel's pushing out the Merced had something to do with the fact that with Compaq behind (as are speculated to be) Alpha, and its current performance being ahead (speedwise) of the 1st version of Merced - this chip would be DOA in the marketplace? Maybe Rudedog has a take on this.

regards,

KAD

Eddie --- a very interesting article. Once some of these things are on record CPQ should rise very nicely. The sour note of 15 - 20K losing there job will be very sweet to investors as the street looks at the $$ savings. Added to the cash, earnings, probable new products that will come from the R&D budget and experienced people there is no way to go but up. Once combined and the cost savings are seen plus the benifits and rev from services we will all be happy holders of this issue. Shorts should start to cover this week which will also help unless they are playing a mkt crash and shorting all issues. If so this is one that should be covered anyway as the undervaluation will soon be apparent.
