this announcenment says they are retiring the stock, not adding it to their portfolio.

Eric: I agree with your words........re: <<Long term its NETWARE and new products that will determine the true value of Novell. I am still long and waiting to see $20.>> That's why I started buying Novell last Dec97. Everything that Schmidt has done with the company continues to point the needle North on the compass. Also, Pruguy answered for me what Novell is going to do with bought back shares.....retire them.....and this would add a 10% boost to their EPS....... Regards, QuadK
