Doug: You are asking the wrong guy in terms of bottom vs SI. My interest in HUM is in passing. I still have what was meant as a temporary investment. As for shorts, my experience with large short position is if the company is not on a death bed, and HUM certainly is not, large short interest always work in investors favour. The current multiples on this stock are reasonable, certainly no worse then the market, they have a large cash position, they are diversifying in a booming sector and their products certainly looks competitive so theoretically they should grow so I don't know what the shorts expectations are from this price level and when they'll cover.
