Bell Atlantic Plans Data Packet-Switched Long Distance Netwk

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Bell Atlantic Corp. (BEL) will begin building a data packet-switched, long-distance network in July.

In a press release Monday, the company said the new network will provide the regional platform for data communications for customers across the Bell Atlantic region, the nation and the world.
