The option rules are probably on the conservative side, but they are based on previous experience with small investors getting toasted when they write options. The brokers really don't want to see your net worth wiped out overnight (unlike casinos), so they make you play by their rules. TRF - I have ben waiting until the Russian situation is clearer, and also for the dividend on June 12. But Yahoo doesn't say what the dividend will be, only that the yield is .38. Do you have any more info on that? RNE is another Russian closed-end fund whose dividend was paid in January.
