Clint, re You never bothered asking why I covered and I never bothered outlining my trading strategy, like in this post:Message 4754368 Why should I have? How did I know what you are thinking? How did I know you are just lurking here and don't have a concept of my trading style. First off, I'm not "just out lurking". I have a very full time career that requires me to be unable to watch the market very closely. Hence, my time frame is 3-4 days. I play options. As you know, if the market remains flat for 3 or 4 days, the option premium is draining away. And if the market moves against the call or put option, fair-sized losses come quickly. In order to trade options without watching every tick, it is necessary to only buy and sell judiciously, at the utmost optimal price points. You appear to have a different trading strategy, more of a daytrader's strategy. I have to say I'm perplexed by the offense you took to Patrick Slevin mentioning "trader" in connection with your name. You day-trade, weaving in and out of the market. You're a trader. If you don't like the sounds of that, then stop doing what you're doing. re That's why I don't need a lesson on flexibility from you or somebody who is trying to sell his $400 subscription. Oh. I guess I did hurt your feelings. You're sounding pretty wounded. Re As far as praising/criticizing, I don't want any of it from you or anybody else, especially when it is based on false logic that is governed by jealousy. Why have I become so controversial recently and people are lining up to take shots at me? Simple. Human nature is jealous by nature. You're sounding kinda thin-skinned, Clint. Were you thinking of praise and criticism when you were accusing j g cordes of "falling in love with" a networking stock? Rebuking him for "hanging out on the stock thread"? And then in the next breath you're calling for the Naz to drop another 30 points, after the Nasdaq had already fallen precipitously, urging "everyone" to not go long. The reason I was being critical of you is really simple, Clint: I followed your expert advice, and lost my a$$ . Okay? It's nothing to do with jealousy. I simply remind you that you hold yourself out to be an experienced trader, and yes there are lurkers. THINK about the words you write. If you're going to make urgent, "I know what I'm doing" kind of posts, remember that people may be actually taking your words seriously, and taking actions based in part on what you say. The whole problem with people "calling" big moves (a 30 pt Nasdaq drop is pretty big, IMO) with surety, is then they become mentally committed to being right. Yeah, I'm jealous, Clint. Tell you what: Gimme back the money I lost because of following your advice, and I won't be jealous anymore.
