Roby Hump started, or at least perpetuated, some idiotic rumor last week. Supposedly Rardin told someone that they weren't going to make their numbers, even though the sales don't even come until the last two weeks of the quarter. What's so stupid about this is that Rardin supposedly said this to his buddy during their golf game. The punch line is that Rardin doesn't play golf. If I was a RH client and sold into this rumor. I'd be mad as hell. The negative rumors are flying at an unprecedented pace. Looks like the shorts are going to give it one last try before they bail and the longs finally have their day. To their credit, they've manipulated this stock deftly for some time now. Stock bottomed on high volume at 9 1/2 on 6-2-98, and should begin to recover here. I plan to average down my position at 12 7/8 where the technicals will take over the situation. Good Luck, and thanks for the info.
