Dear JDN: You and John Irving are correct. The speakers were really concerned about the world-wide effect that Y2K will have. As you know, I only gave a small sample of what was said and I didn't bother mentioning that the speakers often repeated the same concerns. Didn't you get the feeling that they were most concerned about the embedded problem?
