I wonder if the convertible preferred's are involved in helping the shorts or are one and the same? As the volume increased in the past few months so did the number of shares (by a factor of 4, 9M to 36M). If this is the case, the preferreds only have 10M more shares to convert and possibly help the shorts. May be the preferreds are playing both sides of the fence...driving the price down, shorting, and accumulating along the way? I may be wrong here, but keeping the pressure on should finish off their supply (another 10M, most likely less), if that is the case.
