From what I gather this latest PR was done intentionally to divert from the rumors and speculative news being pass around, esp. on AOL. They did not want a quick and furious run-up only to drop down so quickly where it creates panic all over again. The pattern after the last PR when it went to $1.65 only to drop back down to a $1 2 days later was trying to be avoided. More intent on building for the future rather then taking care of the daytrader's pockets which is understandable.
