Santiago, Hal Lindsey is nothing less than a vile cult leader, in my opinion. I have read excerpts from his works, and to me he is just filling people's minds with garbage. But aside from my opinion on Hal Lindsey, what I asked for is proof--from a human rights commission, print journalism, any independent, reputable source which would document that Arafat has committed atrocities on pregnant Arab women and children, and you have given me none. I have researched the activities of Arafat and the PLO in depth. I feel very uncomfortable with violence, regardless of who is involved, and the Jewish people have had a very hard time of it in general. Certainly, what happened to them in Europe is inexcusable. However, the atrocities in Palestine started with the Palestinians being attacked in the late 1940's. They did not even have guns, although the Jews were very well armed. The Jews massacred some Arab villages, very much including women and children, to intimidate the rest of them into surrender. I am not saying that there has not been savagery on both sides--there has been. However, I do object when you try to dehumanize the Palestinians without any seeming knowledge of history, including recent massacres of Palestinians in the refugee camps: deiryassin.org pathfinder.com gabn.net washington-report.org Arafat started his life as a political leader in 1948 by trying to smuggle guns in so they could defend themselves. Any people would react in the same way the Palestinians have reacted to having their country taken over by an invading force. He shared the Nobel Peace Prize recently, incidentally--are you aware of that? This is not a prize that is normally handed out to savage, sadistic, butchers. I hope the situation in Israel is eventually resolved so that both sides can live there peacefully. But it is important at the same time to understand the motivations of both peoples, not just the Jews. How un-Christian of you to make such comments on my name, incidentally! Why am I not surprised?
