ibexx, thanks for the AMD reference. The funny part is, after estimating a LOSS of $.85 for this year, he's estimating a GAIN of over $1 for next year <ggg>. Things will only get tougher next year for AMD as Slot 1 and Slot 2 are the standards.

re: 1998 full year lowered to a loss of $0.85 from a loss of $0.50; 1999 full year lowered to a profit of $1.15 from a profit of $1.45.

Off Topic. Where do you see LU going short-term? I picked up a bunch recently in the $60s .

Maybe the FTC will force Intel to divest the low end to AMD and Cyrix as part of the "Clinton Economic Welfare Act for Perpetual Losers."
