I'm not sure I understand the question. When using the multithreaded library, my customer's application ran about 1.7x-1.8x faster on two processors than on one. There's not really a penalty for only using one node. In fact my customer's code ran significantly faster on one node simply by switching to Intel's tuned library. Before, they were just compiling the readily available BLAS source code that they got off the Internet, and thus weren't getting the benefits of a tuned library.
