Gregg et all-
Longtime share holder and occasional poster. In all your modeling / valuation projections have you looked at the possibility of the 3'rd Generation selection by ETSI announcing to bypass QCOM's patent and develop their own version of 3 'rd generation CDMA which does not use any of QCOM's patents? Let me emphasize the word announce. As a long time shareholder (over 5 years) I have observed continuous attempts by the Q's competitors to badmouth the company and the stocks downside vulnerabilty to any negative publicity. Perhaps Ericcson will drive the European community to make such an announcement, even though they probably cannot circumvent the QCOM patents. Huge negative publicity for QCOM, "QCOM/CDMA ONE Shut Out of 3'rd Generation Cellular Standard" results, the stock nose dives again, and then your worst case scenario evolves, someone steps in and gobbles up the Q at a tremendous discount. You never know but I think ERICY will do anything to drive QCOM into the dirt.

Just something to think about. In all the recent posts I have not seen anything on the impact to QCOM if ETSI et all opt for a standard which is not CDMA One backward compatible. We all assume QCOM will prevail but you never know. Nothing is for sure....Long on the Q...JR

Greg, **OT**, do you or anyone else know when Sprint plans to spin off stock for Sprint PCS? Is this in the coming months or up to a year away, if anyone knows.

Thanks in advance,
