Well, Santiago, you made very specific charges that Arafat committed atrocities on his own Palestinian women and children. It is somewhat illogical that a leader could continue to command the respect of the people who follow him if he behaved in this way. I asked you to provide factual proof, and you were unable to do so. I find it curious that you would then change the subject and generally go on the attack. I will say that liberals are just as concerned as you are about the future of the United States, and the planet, probably a lot more so because they don't believe the world is going to end soon, and want to ensure that life is not hell on earth for their greatgrandchildren. My father served in World War II just like yours did. Did you have a real point? Incidentally, quite a few of the fathers of our country, including Ben Franklin, were deists, rather than Christians. At the time of the revolutionary war, only 17% of Americans were actually Christian church members. Now almost all Americans consider themselves Christians, so I am not sure logically what you are talking about when you say liberals have destroyed the faith in God that children have. The "New World Order" folks, by which I guess you are including George Bush and all the other very moderate people and organizations which are concerned about the future of the earth, and agencies like UNICEF which feed hungry children, are not putting up web pages and writing books about the Christian conspiracy. Unfortunately, it is the other way around. Almost all of the anti-New World Order web sites are associated with militia movement organizations. New Agers believe in freedom of religion for everyone, although it does not appear that many of the conservative Christians do. And they do not consider themselves as part of any grand plot or conspiracy, either, except maybe to save the whales. Ooooh, how scary and sinister can you get?? And almost every child who blew away his classmates recently was a Christian. One of them even requested a Bible to read in jail. The only child who was not Christian was the one in Paducah, Kentucky. Interestingly, he opened fire on a prayer group, because the Christian children had been teasing and taunting him. I would agree that there is no use getting into an argument with you. However, if you persist in smearing entire groups of people with unsubstantiated, scare-mongering lies and inaccurate statements, I think you will find that people will often challenge you.
