j bayer,

For all those worried that Viagra will put us out of business:

I am posting the average daily scripts of MUSE written since the first full week of Viagra availability:

Week ending:

April 17 1,780
April 24 1,469
May 1 1,320
May 8 1,173
May 15 1,090
May 22 1,074
May 29 1,208

Also consider this: Although most of the scripts are written Monday thru Friday, some men who work need to see the doctor on a Saturday.
In the week ending May 29, not only were doctor offices closed on Memorial Day but also consider that many people travel on that week and so there was probably minimal (if any) scripts written on May 23.
Even the doctors who usually work on Saturdays probably took Saturday May 23rd off. This means that our increase was even better than 12.5% since the prior weeks totals include scripts written on Saturdays.

Our average daily scripts are now higher than the 3 prior weeks or about at where we were after Viagra's 3rd to 4th full week on the market. Our weekly adjusted total is now somewhere in the 6,000+ area.

The Viagra concerns were voiced by the media at their greatest during the first week of June. Expect an even better increase for the week ending June 5th.
