Jan, I agree with Mark. The rule of thumb on a short is after a 12-15% downward correction.

James, can you explain a little more? Do you mean to start shorting after a 12-15% corrections from the high of $50?

12-15%???? Maybe if you were shorting a blue chip..... Planning on 40-50% within 6 months..

The key is the investment banking business. As the bankers try to get every last dollar of fee's by taking advantage of the investment communities enthusiasm for the internet stocks they will continue with their positive reviews... Once the institutions tire of buying the new issues and secondaries (which we have already begun to see with several offerings being pulled), the analysts will become more cautious in their overly exuberant "analyis" of the sector. Thus the sell off ensues.. See ya at the bottom..
