Art, guess Jules was not at the IT GigaWorld conference

MSFT/NT and INTC/Merced aren't on the "IT GigaWorld" hit list:

12:19 PM PT, Jun 8, 1998
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. --" Analysts here at GigaWorld IT Forum '98 advised attendees to forgo Windows NT 5.0 and wait for a later release. "

infoworld.com

Not even a mention of INTC's Merced . Promised for mid-2000 , year that is not century , the ARM chip in (IBM) NCs are the processors in focus:

"Even Intel, using the ARM chip, is preparing for this new thin-client market, Enderle (at GigaWorld IT) added ".

Guess what ? AAPL , IBM's PowerPC partner , owns a chunk of ARM Ltd .

Looks like IBM's super-servers have about two (2) years of clear sailing.

Regards,
Jim K.
