Might something like "Obnoxiously Clever Press Release" be a little more appropriate than "Scam"?:
It sure got my attention by making it all the way to T-Trade. On E-Trade, the TDFX symbol had a asterik (*) after it, indicating that there was some sort of news on the issue.

I do not know what to think of the possibility of free research on TDFX might be, but the availability of any kind of research following on this issue has been a subject worth mention on this board in the last few weeks.

Now, I will turn my attention to the quality of this resource, especially in light of your comment.

21 9/16!!! Up almost 9% on volume of 641200 shares (which I'd characterize as moderate). Nothing but great news in my opinion.

For any technicians out there, I just updated the TDFX chart with today's action and a strong MACD-buy signal was generated today! Should pull some technical buyers into the stock tomorrow. Also, that long, national nightmare of a downtrend is definitely broken. Check out coolhistory.com for more.
