Craig,
If you are interested in pursuing Sybase, I suggest that you go to the Sybase thread, or any other thread that fits your interest. Since this is the Oracle thread, discussions should pertain to this company, while perhaps discussing VIABLE competitors of which Sybase is not. I don't believe it useful for an individual to keep plugging their favorite companies on the wrong threads. Every time I log on here, I see posts from one individual who essentially proclaims that Sybase is the best at just about everything. Clearly this is not the case as evidenced by market share figures, revenue figures, profit figures, stock performance figures, or pick your own measurement criteria.

BTW, as an Oracle shareholder for many years, I don't post to the Sybase thread as I believe their shareholders have had enough grief without me rubbing more salt into the wound. Let's face it, at times we all get caught holding a losing stock and its no fun.

Don't get me wrong, I think its healthy for employees to believe their Company is the best, I just don't think the Oracle thread is the proper forum for these proclamations.

Regards,
Phil
