I have the right to protect my property, but that doesn't mean I can shoot every suspicious looking person who walks down the street.

If Intel would have had the brains to give 10% market share to Cyrix and AMD, all three companies would be raking the money in by the truckload. I'm sure Cyrix would have been happy to sell 5,000,000 CPU's at $500 each.

Andy Grove's paranoia has translated into the pain of the entire CPU business.
