John, Hi!! <<< The consolidation trend continues.....One thing I don't recall being discussed on the (bull) thread: It appears that the "consolidation" that is occuring, and that Meredith often discusses, is even more pronounced on the (worldwide) corporate purchasing side (as opposed to the consumer side.... after all, the sub-1000 looks like the most competitive segment of the market, or at least near the top)....To me, this is more proof of Dell riding another powerful trend (consolidation) in the PC industry, and this (consolidation) will be in full effect over the next couple years (at least)...Playing into Dell's market strengthes..>>> Nice analysis.... Volume is anemic, yet at least we're not down like DELL (at least not yet). Going away for awhile and don't know if I'll have the time (or desire) to read SI. Perhaps when I come back CPQ will be at $40+. BTW, if jim kelley or his Dellhead minions crawl back to this thread...just tell them to Beat It! Not very pleasant, but effective.
