Peter, today's action on CCSI is easy to explain. Through his rude posts Nick called attention to an otherwise obscure stock on two threads frequented by short sellers. The short sellers consider rude posts a negative indicator and took a detailed look at the financials which confirmed the negative outlook and then they began to short. One should never trade a stock based on rude posts alone, but rude posts are often an indicator to identify stocks for in depth research. Rudeness (short or long) is often used as a cover for a bad position that can not be defended by logic. I sometimes post on the threads of stocks I am considering for short positions just to see the defense by the longs. When there is a logical defense for the long side, the facts brought out are helpful. When the defense is a rude attack, it is likely that there is no logical defense of the long position. Either way it gives you some guidence as you dig into the company financials. I would like to thank Nick for bringing CCSI to our attention with such enthusiasm. Without his posts many of us would not have taken the time to research CCSI in depth. Similar to the PLSIA. They attacked an SI member, Pluvia, for making negative comments on the company. That turned out to be a huge win for the short side, trading in PLSIA is now halted. Real companies with real prospects either ignore shortsellers or defend themselves with factual information, they don't attack the shortseller. Real companies secretly smile when visited by shortsellers, they know that the shorts must eventually cover and that is a source of buying for their stock when good news comes out,
