A very astute idea to compare last years Memorial weekend effect.

so last year we saw a 21% decrease and this year it was less than a 10% decrease.

If you do the same calculations for 1997 as I did for 1998 you get about the same average daily number (3,662 week before Memorial Day week vs 3,584 for Memorial Day week).

I think this indeed demonstrates that the actual daily numbers are increasing. I expect a weekly total above 7,000 for the week ending June 5th.
