The only OS I've ever run is Win '95. Never had a problem with
it - a few times in two years I've got a "blue screen" and had
to turn the computer off and back on and then restart, which took
all but 2-3 minutes.

Consider yourself lucky. I am certainly not a typical user but that is a 2 or 3 time a day occurance for me. I don't think I have ever made it more than 2 or 3 days with any version of windows except NT without having to reboot or experiencing a Blue Screen of Death. NT on the other hand is quite stable once configured properly I can routinely go 2-4 Week without crashing or having to reboot. Still not Unix but getting better....

The bold is quoting the context of what am replying to. Its one of my biggest comaplaints about SI is that many people go about replying to messages without including proper context leaving the reader baffled as to what the poster intends. I will always include the context of what I am replying to so that everyone will understand what I am talking about. Hope I didn't confuse anyone....

If you are satisfied with 95 and can go weeks at a time without crashing or rebooting then my advice is don't change. Unfortunately for me that doesn't hold up and I am forced to traade feature for functionality.
