The drives are slow, so should be useful for archiving.
Don't expect to see them in PCs. The 20 GB drive is targeted
to ship a year from now.
Maybe they'll cut into the market for tape backup.
I wouldn't worry till the drives can access BOTH sides of a disk.
Also, the pricing for the media has not been announced.
Quantum and Seagate have agreements with Terastore.

quarter of 1998, is expected to have a manufacturers suggested retail
price (MSRP) of between $699 and $799. The 20GB drive, with targeted
availability in the second quarter of 1999, is expected to have an
MSRP of between $999 and $1,199. Media cartridge availability for the
10GB and 20GB drives will coincide with the shipment dates of each
drive.
