Last winter a North Carolina regional bank, BB&T, $30 billion in assets was added to the S&P 500. BB&T has approx 130 million shares outstanding, then had average daily volume of 100,000 (now 200,000). When it was added, the stock went from about $57 to $65 immediately, and has stayed in that range. Hard to extrapolate this to ASND though. The index funds aren't traders, and ASND should keep most of its gain.

Gary,

If what you said about 30 million shares of ASND
need to be purchased by index fund before Friday,
it is going to be a great time for ASND shareholders.
Not to mention the 16 million shares short.
It is going to be a good ride the next few days.
We finally see ASND in the 50s after those dark days
last year.

Regards,

GL
