Using last weeks average daily Viagra numbers and assuming the average user refills once a month (based on insurance limits but I think at this time refills are probably weekly or biweekly as the proper dose is being tested) and assuming 5 average doctor days a week:

52,714 x 20 = 1,054,280 men being treated per month.

How many of these men are true ED patients (not using V as an enhancer)?

OK then assuming most of these guys have true ED, then only about 1,000,000 men are being treated for ED via Viagra.

We have had estimates of as many as 30 million men with ED in the USA.

Assuming there are really 15 million men in the US suffering from ED, then less than 10% are finding therapy in Viagra.

This tells me that Viagra is NOT stealing the market from Vivus.

It tells me that the media awareness will eventually help MUSE sales.

It tells me that the market is still big enough for Vivus to become a very profitable company.
