Roche's Heart Drug Posicor Can't Be Taken With Viagra, UPI Says

Washington, June 8 (Bloomberg) -- Roche Holding AG's
Posicor, a heart drug withdrawn because of side effects,
shouldn't be mixed with Pfizer Inc.'s impotence pill Viagra, UPI
reported. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said it is not
aware of cases where adverse effects happened from mixing Posicor
and Viagra.
Roche is warnings users of Posicor to contact their
doctors about stopping Posicor.

Roche withdrew Posicor, a treatment for high blood pressure,
because of side effects patients may suffer when taking Posicor
with other drugs.
