Ron,
I gave up mine the night the gear wouldn't come down on the Aero Commander with my wife beside me and my two young sons in the cabin. In Viet Nam mechanical failures were expected and I jumped from burning planes twice, emergency landing were routine. Hold off on the "V" until you are comfortable with it. How's you wife doing by the way?

[Slightly Off Topic]..Ron, why do you find it hard to believe that sex would be my preferred way to exit this life? No, I am not young, but I'm in pretty good shape. Although it is not my consuming hobby, I truly enjoy sex....No, I don't play around....By the way, I also enjoy flying immensely... That may end up being my demise...wrapped around my old Cessna Skyhawk...I hope not...the alternative is better..
