Well, of course this is MY news, which is always
to be regarded with suspicion (if you don't believe
that, ask my wife<g>). Sean makes a case against
ISA cards, which I haven't observed to be a practical
problem myself. But he's the hardware man and knows
about that better than I; moreover, my info on that
score is old and not well documented. It could
easily be that my memory failed me severely in one
way or another. Old memory chips are always going
on the blink.<GG>

Anyhow, we seem to agree on the PCI cards. Of course,
then you need a slot, but what the hell; nothing's free.

BTW, personally, I wouldn't buy an ISA NIC if it came
with a 200% rebate. I'm still waiting for 10/100
bridges to come down.

Regards,

Spots
