Thank you for the reply. It seemed to me that if more than one person had 'heard' the announcement, that there would be more discussion and corroboration.

I'm already in the hole (short CPQ put LEAPs) but am not worried. It's a good company, and will work its way out of the current problems. I was just hoping the rumor was true, so that I could get some more DELL (it normally dips in sympathy) tomorrow.

Oh well. Darn it!

Hi,
I don't remember who it was on CNBC, but I also heard that CPQ was suppose to come out with earnings lower than expected HOWEVER, This is OLD news so I wouldn't worry about it. The person who said they were going to sell, probley wanted the stock to go down so he can pick more up.
Hang in there.
