56K Service

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 9, 1998-- 3Com Corporation
(Nasdaq: COMS) today announced that more than 700 Internet Service
Providers (ISPs) now offer 56K(a) V.90 technology based on 3Com's
Total Control(TM) remote access platform. As a result of the rapid and
widespread adoption of the newly determined International Telecommunications
Union (ITU) V.90 56K standard, any V.90 modem user can now access a
local standards-based 3Com 56K connection throughout most of the 50
states and Canada.
