>>Have you folks had enough biotech yet??? >>

Nope .. not yet.

Recently, Hoescht announced plans to sell its fibers business and become a life sciences business. DuPont announced plans to sell out of oil (Conoco) and become a life sciences business. AHP bought Monsanto, becoming a broader life sciences business. Merck sold its stakes in DuPont-Merck and Astra-Merck. While stating it was not looking for mergers and acquisitions, Merck did say it would be looking for collaborations.

There is a megaton of big money pointed at the biotech sector, which has been catching a cold while the market has been sneezing. Though long term, the entry of four big players should be good for the industry, particularly if the gorillas compete with each other.
