Denise,
That was excellent. I didn't mean to begrudge anyone anything. I had PM'ed Mr. D after his 'BIG' post tonight, that I thought that no-one from here was out to scam people on the other lists, just that maybe some got in over there heads. I can imagine that amount of emails and PM's the leaders receive on a daily basis. That's a lot of pressure for anyone, especially people holding down jobs, some quite difficult (ER). I think my disappointment is more for those that might really feel burned, then for myself. I should leave that to them.
Good night. For real this time.
Kurt

Wow Denise! Seeing you say you are shy is like listening to Miss America say that she used to be an ugly duckling! That was a GREAT post you just made! I loved your description of everybody, and thanks for the nice things you said about me too.

And you know what? I agree with you 100% in your assessment of everyone. There has never been any doubt in my mind about the commitment of your Dad and macker and Rocketman to all 3 stocks, as to Byron, heck...I had already pretty much figured out that he had sold most of the other two and put them back into DGIV....but you know what? It didn't bother me. DGIV is his love and his "baby."
And the leadership that he has brought to it has been legendary!

I do understand, however, why Kurt and others might be dismayed because of his strong postings sometimes on the ICVI and INFE threads.
And I think that Byron has learned something from it. But in all fairness, I also think that a part of it was because he felt he had a role to keep up...a role that WE had given him. In that regard, I was disappointed whenever I did see him talk as though he was holding ICVI and INFE, mainly because I didn't believe it. But it still didn't bother me as to the future of the INFE and ICVI...mainly because they had Rocketman, Mr. D. and macker....and them I believed when they said they still held all three stocks. And also because I truly think that all three hold potential...with DGIV being the leader.

But at the same time, I am so proud of Byron for posting the truth as he did tonight. Now that was a post that I believed. And it just goes to show that we're all human. It also means that Byron is the unequivocal leader of the DGIV thread. But the INFE and ICVI threads have leaders every bit as good in their own special ways as Byron is over here.

And when I say leader, I don't mean that they are people whom the rest of us follow like sheep. Heck, nobody could make me follow them anyway if I didn't want to. But what I mean by leader is that they are the ones who have the best connections...who do the best DD's...whom everyone looks to for the best information.

I'd say that those of us who have "met" each other in this forum are probably some of the luckiest people on the Internet. We have Byron as the mainstay of DGIV....and we have Rocketman, Mr. D. and macker who venture into the outer satellites and establish beachheads so that all of us can prosper. Owning DGIV is wonderful...but to the person who loves the stock market....finding other "finds" is a MUST!!! I've found some on my own...some through other people..and some just by luck. Always, always the investigation and discovery is exciting! And if by chance one strikes a gold mine, as we've done with DGIV it is truly something to treasure.

But the other gold strikes are wonderful too. I hope this isn't too long-winded.....but I think that tonight was important...I believe it has made us all stronger as a group...and stronger within ourselves.

Much love and many blessings to everyone!

MOM

Denise,

I feel that your dad and some of the other leaders are suffering from burn out.

I think we've all been swept up into a totally new way of investing. Its amazing to me to think what has happened in only a few short months.

This trend of sharing information of OTC stocks is going to change the way bulletin board stocks are viewed. Its helped level the playing field for the small investor and it helps small, growth stocks such as DGIV.

I suspect your father knows this. He has been very supportive both with his words and his dollars. Unfortunately for us, there is only one "Mr. D". How can you help hundreds of people who are PMing you? How many stocks can you support with deep pockets?

As you and your father know, you can't be all things to all people, and when you try, you reach this point, what I call burn out, where you need to retreat and rethink what you are doing.

I've burned out in the past on some of the things I love (in my case, electronics). About 9 years ago I walked away from it. I no longer loved what I was doing.

After months of reflection, I got back into it. What caused me to burn out was not electronics itself but the people in the business who wanted me to solve their problems for them. Obviously, I had to change the way I did business. Basically, I had to design my business around my life and not my life around my business.

I think siliconinvestor is forcing me to do that again and I am no where near as involved as your dad and others.

I think SI is a force for good. It's just a question of how we productively incorporate it into our lives.

I believe everyone needs to make their own investment decisions and contribute where they can to the dd of a company. If we depend on a few for everything, long term, they will burn out. It takes a lot of energy!

Just some of my insights FWIW (for what its worth)

I support your father no matter what he does from here out because of the type of person he is. I hope he continues to post, and if he doesn't, I understand, but I will miss his street smarts.
