Paul, re:How do you like your new machine? Pretty well so far. I think I'll replace the modem with my USRX one though; network speed seems slower on the 56k that came with it. I only ever seem to connect at 28.8 anyway. IBM net does have some v90 connections, but I have to upgrade my old modem to the new standard. At v34 the x2 modems seem to be faster than the k56. I can't see any real difference between my 266 and the Gateway 233 PII that I have at work, but I'm not putting any strain on either one. Regards Gary
