Andretti, I understand what you are saying, but I just think we see what being a Christian means in such different ways that we will never come to any agreement.

I believe that how people move about through their lives, the way they treat others, their compassion, their integrity, determine whether they are true Christians. I realize there are lots of different kinds of Christians, worshipping in very different ways, using Bibles with different verses. I don't believe in a vengeful God, and I think most of the Christians have entirely inaccurate ideas about what Jesus actually said, did, or believed.

As I've said before here, I think Jesus would be very, very angry if he saw what people have done in his name throughout history. And that loving, accepting, ethical, rabble-rousing, tolerant Jesus to me epitomizes Christianity, in thought and deed.
