Morning East Pole, I memory serves me correctly the stocks you list were on Tom's Morning Market Comment last week sometime. They were defensive stocks that should do well in this turbulent market and have little exposure to Asia or other troubled areas.

I'll look around later and if I find anything different I'll repost.

East Pole, I dug up a little more details for those choises.

OAT is a defensive stock picked because the period between May 31 and OCT 31 is a time of historic underpreformance.

PEP has increased dividends and a good chart pattern with a receint "shakeout pattern"

VOLVY or Volvo has a nice pattern but I could not find specific reference as to his reason for it's inclusion into a portfolio.
