Hawk...here's what I'm doing...

Yes, I scalp for incremental points in day trades...but I really have done better position trading. I can usually get 1-5 points with a days/weeks time horizon. I've resisted this in the past...residual work ethic problems I think...Hehe....because position trades take a lot less of your time.

As to "systems"...so far I'm mostly an "opportunist" trader. I try to take advantage of gradual, low volume price declines on solid companies, irrational panic sell-offs (I jumped on INTC at 66 last week), and roll good companies that are trading in a "dependable" (HA!) trading range. I've been reading about Gary Smith's GBS Classic system (www.thestreet.com) but I haven't played with it yet.
