Can you ask them if I will make money owning their shares? And how much............Are these good questions? :o)

** joking aside MB I look forward to hearing your thoughts as to this road show and what kind of buzz there is.** Enjoy.

I too pulled back on my position yesterday after listening to the conference call. I did not like the lack of financial information. What is the pricing scheme for Vertex? What do they expect their profit margin to be? ONLY 12 million for '99? That's not much if you ask me. For 1999 they should be expecting to kick ass and be in their prime for Y2K work. They should be making 12 million for their groupware alone. What's going on here?

I like Bemer's technology, but he doesn't have the greatest business sense in the world. He fills his answers with old fashioned analogies that just seem to avoid the answers I'm looking for. I've heard him before and he's starting to sound like he's out of touch.

My stand-back-and-think-it-over view is that TPI still lacks a good business plan to pull this off. What is really their marketing plan? They didn't tell us. Their defined market? Still unclear. Basically they'll talk to anyone that comes along.

Paul certainly knows what's going on out there, but the business plan is not being made clear to us shareholders. If it's not clear to us, it won't be clear to their prospective customers.

I think they need to focus on the Canadian market and let their alliances focus on the U.S.. They should focus on their scanning software because that is their best Y2K product. They should blanket the trade magazines with advertising that CLEARLY points out the benefits of their methods. Don't just announce that you're great at doing Y2K work like most ads do. It just doesn't ring true because they have no track record as of yet.

By the way, how does all this embedded remediation work anyway? It seems to me that all they can do is specialize in scoping out all the embedded systems in a company and tell them which ones will fail so they will have time to replace them. How can you fix an embedded processor running on hard-wired ROM-like preprogrammed software? Is this clear to anyone? For most of these things, you can only hope to replace them.

I still hold some shares in TPI, but I'm not convinced about the Bemer project. In the conf call, they completely avoided making clear when this product or service will come to market. I heard very little I didn't know already and now feel their business plan is still shaky. Remember all that stuff about what would happen to their scanning software when it reaches version 4? Paul couldn't say if he had plans to put it up for sale or not!

Anyway, I could go on and on. I'm still watching, but a little concerned.
