CBT Systems Signs Exclusive Agreement WithRational Software to Develop Interactive Education Software forObject-Oriented Analysis and Design Curriculum Series June 15, 1998 07:31 AM ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 15, 1998--CBT Systems, a leading provider of interactive technology-based training for information technology (IT) professionals, has signed an exclusive agreement with Rational Software Corporation to co-develop interactive education software for Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). The new curriculum is designed to train software developers in component-based, object-oriented design using the UML. The announcement was made at the annual Rational User Conference in Orlando, Fla. The curriculum, Object Oriented Analysis and Design using Unified Modeling Language, will consist of nine titles. Seven of the nine titles are designed to take developers from the fundamentals of OOAD through implementation issues; the final two titles focus on Rational Rose, Rational's award-winning visual component modeling and development tool. The interactive software titles will deliver approximately 36 hours of self-paced training that developers can access at their desktop computer via a local area network, an intranet, or the Internet. The new curriculum is expected to be available in the third quarter of this year through both CBT Systems and Rational Software.
