<<"Disney announces a 3-for-1 stock split!
On April 21, 1998, The Walt Disney Company's Board of Directors authorized a 3-for-1 stock split. The Consent Solicitation contains vital information regarding the split including why the stock is being split, how the stock will be split, etc.
Below are more commonly asked questions regarding the split.

Q: When are the record and payable dates for the split?

A: Currently, those dates have not been announced. We expect those dates to be some time in late June or July. NOTE: Those dates will be posted here when they are announced.

Q: Will I receive a certificate representing the stock split?

A: Yes, IF THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS ARE TRUE:
* You are NOT a member of The Disney Investment Plan.
* You hold your shares in certificate form (not in a brokerage, 401K, or other street name account).

Q: I hold my shares in the Disney Investment Plan; how will the split affect me?

A: Your Disney Investment Plan account will be credited appropriately to reflect the 3-for-1 split. You will notice a credit for these shares in your monthly statement for June or July.

Q: I hold my shares in a brokerage account in street name; how will the split affect me?

A: Your brokerage firm will credit you appropriately to reflect the 3-for-1 split. You should see a credit for these shares in an upcoming statement from your brokerage house.

Q: When will my new certificate be mailed?

A: Approximately two weeks after the payable date of the split.

Q: To what address will my new certificate be mailed?

A: Your new certificate will be mailed to the address on record. If you have moved, please contact Disney Shareholder Services to update your account's address.

Q: When have Disney shares split previous to the 1998 split?

A: Disney has split six times prior to this in its history.
