Jay: I'm not ordinarily a day trader, or a "watcher of the holy tape." ;-) However, I've made an exception with VLNC, and one other security I'm monitoring closely. Today's trading, so far, is very interesting. Volume up until 10:45 was zilch. Then at that time the bid dropped and a ~23K block went through. This is similar to what happened yesterday. Now, assuming yesterday holds true, then I'm expecting the bid to gradually move back up, then about 2:45 or so, another drop in bid will occur follow by a similar size block moving across. Then at day's end one more block. If memory serves this is similar to what has occurred at roughly the same period associated with option expiration(this was mentioned on Yahoo) in times past. MM's playing patty cake? True buy/sell activity? Option gambits being reworked? Just out-n-out paranoia on my part? Hmmmmm......Now if I could only get me hands on VLNC historical day trading activity for the past 6 months. I'll bet I could corroborate my hypothesis.

Of course, I could be reading into the tape more than is warranted, but it suuuuure is interesting...

John~
