I noticed in the latest issue of Tiger Direct magazine they are only offering the 4.3 Gbyte and the 2.1 Gbyte drives. Kinda strange. Also, the 2.1 Gbyte drive is an ultra DMA version. Didnt know they had one of those. They still have the advertising blurb about the cheapest Ultra DMA drive, but now its because no one else has an Ultra DMA drive that small. This actually might make sense if they are going for the India market where cheap price per unit is perhaps preferable. (But in general it sounds like a bad trend, decreasing the drive size while everyone else is going to 6 to 10 gig drives.....)

New message on JTS IR Voice Message from June 09, 1998:

Just a quick recap (no transcript this time) :

-- 10-k to be filed with the SEC before Friday, June 12, 1998.

-- NASDAQ Bulletin Board listing to follow @ two weeks after 10-k is filed. (Press Release with full details will accompany new listing.)

-- Q1 Results due out "Late June". (No additional comments at this time.)

FWIW, we went from "looking into getting listed" in "whatever form that may be" to a likely BB listing later this month.

In the off chance that someone from JTS is lurking here... I would really like to see some mention of JTS moving to MR drives in their next PR... (Perhaps JTS would like to contact Ampex Corp. (Telephone: 650-367-2011) about implementing "Ampex Keepered Media" with JTS MR drives.)
