Jim and all:
Sorry for not responding in a timely manner, but have not had time
to get on the net. As I observed during my recent visit to the Bakersfield plant, the two units are not that complex, meaning that they should prove to be reliable and not subject to a lot of down time for repairs, etc. What you have is an input hopper, and a conveyor moving materials to the grinding unit. There are plates within the grinding unit with a central axle that rotates the grinding chains mounted on a removable wheel. Once the initial grinding is done, the material is then zapped with the ultrasound, which produces the final grind. An A/C unit maintains desired temperature. All dust is removed with a bag filter system. The finished product is piped into large 4x4 foot bags (in the case of the beans), or is fed to a bagging unit (standard cement-sized bags).
I will try to get more information concerning the finances soon.
