My dear Techie,

Your command of the language shows you are fairly bright. Your question Why don't you ask him to substantiate it with URLs? belies that supposition.

The reason I don't ask Chuzzlewit (aka CTC) to substantiate it with a URL is because

a) he told us it was hearsay, from a contact at Boeing. So, since you may be new to the internet, hearsay evidence means that there is no URL to post. On the other hand, the analysts' opinions and statements you cite are usually available in some concrete form, accessible by URL.

b) Chuzzlewit also has an impeccable reputation for the truth and for straightforward representation of the facts, without embellishment. His reputation has been established over a lengthy period posting here on the DELL thread. You, on the other hand, are a relatively new poster on this thread and have no such established reputation. Therefore we ask you for substantiation in order to better judge your reliability quotient. Quite frankly, I think that thus far you have failed to provide us any basis for imputing you any credence.

c) Further, Chuzzlewit lives in Washington state and recently conducted a two-day investment seminar at Boeing. That implies some contact with management personnel who are likely to be knowledgeable in this topic area.

So we should buy the stock of any company that buys DELL PCs eh? Nice logic.
Once again, IMO, that is a better reason to buy a stock than the reasons you have thus far given for selling DELL. I think that it is fair to assume that a company partnered with DELL is improving productivity.

May I assume that the thread will still be waiting until Y2000 for you to produce the URLs we requested from your 'several analysts'?

My personal recommendation: cover your shorts and go long CPQ.

regards, 3.

Techie, people like Chuzz and jbn3 don't need to constantly re-establish their credibility with the thread on a daily basis. Their credible statements can be found throughout the history of this thread. Since you're apparently new to this thread (and lack any sort of credibility due to your unsubstantiated statements), I might suggest you go back through the thousands of posts an try to learn something from them.

In all sincerity,

LoD
