Fields Aircraft sees FY98 revs at $25 mln

SIMI VALLEY, Calif, July 14 (Reuters) - Fields Aircraft Spares Inc. said Tuesday it is comfortable with achieving an increase in revenues to about $25 million in fiscal 1998, more than double revenues of $12.1 million reported for 1997.

The company pre-announced second quarter sales of $5.7 million, up more than 95 percent over the $2.9 million reported 1997 second quarter.

For the first six months of 1998, sales were about $11.3 million, a 125 percent increase over the corresponding six months of 1997, the company said.

The second quarter ended July 3.

The company said its revenues goal for 1999 is $40 million.

The company said if the company reaches its goal of $25 million in 1998, it would be the second consecutive year of doubling revenues. through internal operation and acquisitions.

With unnamed planned future acquisitions, the company said it is comfortable with the 1999 target.

Fields previously announced that the company expects to incur a one-time charge to earnings of $750,000 to $1.25 million in the second quarter.

This charge is related to the consolidation of several subsidiary manufacturing, warehouse and administrative facilities into the company's new world headquarters in Simi Valley and the adding of the infrastructure needed to support anticipated future growth.
