From the Cyrix thread on WinChip pricing:

Message 4780695

Everyone sounds like this WinChip venture will make or break the company. But, what about their specialty memory products (FIFOs, multiport SRAM, ATMs) that account for 36% of current revenues, or logic circuits (20%), or embedded RISC controllers (12% and rising)?

Has the sun truly set on this company?

The Oregon fab is used to manufacture all of IDTI's products not just the WC. So they aren't putting all their eggs in one basket.

IDTI has a broad portfolio of products, the WC is just one of them.

Let IBM manufacture the WC, IDTI staff should focus on other products, too much energy has been poured into WC and it is starting to appear as the WC will be a flop.
